Any custom design jewelry created by McCoy Jewelers comes with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defect. Every piece of jewelry must be inspected every 6 months by McCoy Jewelers, or a reputable jeweler, if it is determined that your jewelry need repair or maintenance due to wear and tear or damage, then you must follow the recommendation for the necessary repairs or your warranty will be void.
Normal wear and tear happen, and you will need to maintain your piece over the years, including (eventually) re-tipping prongs and replacing worn metal. Just like a pair of tires on a car, metals wear down over time.
If you lose your center diamond or gemstone due to a manufacturing defect, McCoy Jewelers will pay up to $500 of deductible to your insurance company to replace it.
Replacement must be paid by your insurance company to McCoy Jewelers and performed by McCoy Jewelers only. It is the responsibility of the jewelry purchaser to insure their jewelry under their home owner’s policy or renter’s policy against any damage or loss that might happen.
If there is any damage, abuse, modification or alteration to the center diamond or gemstone all warranties through McCoy Jewelers become void. If we feel the mounting is not secure, we will tell you before any work is done and we will not provide a stone loss warranty.
We don’t guarantee stones we didn’t set, in jewelry we didn’t make. This seems obvious, but for repairs & restorations, we can only guarantee the work we did. ( So if we size a ring we will do our best to check the quality of the settings, but we don’t take liability for others’ work) We don’t pay for items to be shipped for inspections or work unless there is an original workmanship problem, however we promise to always make a good faith effort to fairly and honestly deal with all of our customers in every way. Our stone loss warranty can be an important part of your satisfaction and trust in our shop, so feel free to ask any questions about our policy.
If for some reason, you need to return or exchange your jewelry within 30 days of purchase, we will gladly issue a refund (for jewelry that is in new condition) to the purchaser of record in the same manner as original payment. Note, custom jewelry, special order items, sale/clearance items or jewelry that has been modified at your request cannot be returned or exchanged.
Errors, Inaccuracies and Omissions
Occasionally there may be information on our Site that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information on the Site is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).
Price quotes will be honored for ten days. For a price quote to be valid, it must be a written quote from either an email thread or from our in-store quote system. Any verbal quote given on the spot is only a ballpark figure and is not a valid quote. Price quotes may be subject to re-quoting if metal prices and or diamond prices increase significantly since the time of the initial quote.
Web Site Pricing Errors
While McCoy Goldsmith & Jeweler strives to provide accurate product and pricing information, pricing or typographical errors may occur. McCoy Goldsmith & Jeweler cannot confirm the price of an item until after an order is placed in our store or by telephone. In the event that an item is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to an error in pricing or product information, McCoy Goldsmith & Jeweler shall have the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any orders placed for that item. In the event that an item is mis-priced, McCoy Goldsmith & Jeweler may, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation.
